Wildlife Habitat Resilience Study

Before formal grant making begins in 2026, the Binky Bear Foundation has been conducting a review of high-need wildlife regions to better understand where conservation support can have the strongest long-term impact. This early initiative focuses on identifying vulnerable species, assessing habitat conditions, and evaluating the challenges that conservation teams face in the field.

Our preliminary work includes:

  • Studying regions with rapidly declining species populations

  • Reviewing scientific data on habitat degradation and ecosystem stress

  • Meeting with researchers and conservation practitioners to understand emerging needs

  • Developing a framework for future grantmaking priorities in 2026 and beyond

The purpose of this initiative is to ensure that BBF begins its conservation work with informed, science-based decision-making. These early assessments will guide our first round of grants and help us invest in programs that protect wildlife populations and support the long-term health of the ecosystems they depend on.

A full update on BBF’s first grant cycle will be published once formal grantmaking begins in 2026.
