Species at Risk Assessment Program

The Binky Bear Foundation is currently developing a comprehensive assessment of wildlife species facing elevated risk across key regions of the world. This initiative aims to identify where conservation support is most urgently needed and to build a clear foundation for our upcoming grant strategy.

Our ongoing work includes:

  • Reviewing global and regional data on species decline

  • Identifying high-impact intervention opportunities for threatened animals

  • Consulting with scientists, conservation leaders, and field practitioners

  • Mapping priority ecosystems that would benefit from targeted support

  • Establishing criteria that will guide BBF’s first grants in 2026

This assessment program allows us to begin our mission with strong scientific grounding and a deep understanding of the conservation landscape. By focusing on species at risk, BBF is preparing to direct future resources toward the programs and partners best positioned to protect vulnerable wildlife and restore ecological balance.

Further updates will be shared as we move closer to our first grant cycle.
